Record Store Day is celebrated on the third Saturday of April. Founded in 2007, it is a global celebration bringing together fans and artists to celebrate independent music retailers. Festivities may include performances, cook-outs, body painting, meet & greets, parades, and live djs. The occasion is also marked by limited edition vinyl and CD releases.
