Typhoon Haiyan Relief Efforts

Typhoon Haiyan made landfall in central Philippines on November 8. More than 5,000 people are dead and thousands still missing. An estimated 4 million people are homeless. Government agencies and international aid organizations continue to assist with aid efforts as does local organizations.
Roger Rigor a member of Philippine US Solidarity Organization or PUSO. PUSO was founded in 2002 in Seattle. Roger is also a climate science and math teacher at the University of Washington based Ida B. Wells School for Social Justice.
Jill Mangaliman is a member of Pinayn Seattle Gabriela USA. Jill is also the lead organizer at local environmental justice organization, Got Green.
