Bushwick Book Club: Steve Martin’s Born Standing Up
March 30, 2015 - 12:36 pm
91.3 KBCS and the songwriters of Bushwick Book Club present a wild and crazy evening of music and madcap antics inspired by Steve Martin’s memoir Born Standing Up, at Dusty Strings, Friday, April, 3rd.
In the mid-seventies, Steve Martin was the biggest concert draw in the history of stand-up comedy. In 1981 he quit forever. Born Stading Up is, in his own words, the story of “why I did stand-up and why I walked away.” The memoir was named one of the ten best nonfiction titles of 2007 by both Time and Entertainment Weekly.
Performers will include:
Simon Kornelis
Alice Howe
Mike Votava
Nancy K Dillon
