Presenting the 91.3 KBCS acoustic showcase at Northwest Folklife Festival:
Edna Vasquez is a vocal powerhouse out of Portland mobilizing a variety of pan-American genres in bolerista style. She’s currently touring with Pink Martini.
Making her 2nd consecutive appearance on the KBCS showcase stage, Whitney Mongé is a Seattle alt-soul singer-songwriter with roots in the Seattle busking community. Her latest release Carry On is a KBCS favorite.
The gentle songwriting and deft musicianship of up-and-coming acoustic folk duo Dravus House is the perfect start to your Sunday Folklife Festival adventure.
A four day festival taking place Memorial Day weekend, the Northwest Folklife Festival is a celebration of the diversity of the Pacific Northwest, featuring more than 5,000 performers at Seattle Center.
*Northwest Folklife is a community-powered 501(c)(3) arts organization committed to creating opportunities for all to celebrate, share, and participate in the Pacific Northwest’s evolving cultural traditions. Donations at the gate to support the work or Northwest Folklife and its annual festival are encouraged.
