Trans Pride

Many people who identify as transgender face hardships in routine areas of daily life. They are twice as likely as the general population to be unemployed or homeless and four times as likely to live in poverty.

We talked with the Gender Justice League Executive Director, Danielle Askini, Deputy Director, Jenn Popkin and Elayne Wylie, Board Secretary about the transgender community – the challenges their community faces,  their work, and what they will celebrate this coming Friday June 28, at Trans Pride.
