Bronwyn Keith-Hynes comes to Tractor Tavern on Sunday June 28th. Doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 8:00pm. KBCS 91.3 is proud to present an evening of bluegrass, roots, and genuine musical joy.

About the Artists

Bronwyn Keith-Hynes grew up watching two girls busk on a street corner with fiddles. She was three years old. She pointed at them and told whoever was listening that she would do that someday.

She did. A Grammy-winning artist and two-time IBMA Fiddle Player of the Year, Bronwyn spent years as one of the most celebrated instrumentalists in bluegrass — most recently as a member of Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway before pursuing her own band.

Her latest album Rattlin' Bones finds her doing something she had never done before writing her own songs. "I wanted to make a record that you'd want to turn up so loud that it'd rattle your bones," she says. It shows. Backed by a band of Nashville's finest pickers, Bronwyn is now fronting her own ensemble and bringing that energy out on the road. "Fronting this band pushes me to grow as an artist and as a human," she says. "It's been exciting to notice changes in how we're playing together, how we're able to tighten arrangements, everything is just going to keep evolving.

Pixie & The Partygrass Boys draw from the bluegrass roots of Appalachia and carry them straight to the Western edge of the Rockies. Classical training meets jazz, Broadway, pop-punk, and an unabashed love for a good time. They fall somewhere between every genre you might reach for — and that is exactly where they want to be. The band has shared stages with Lake Street Dive, Billy Strings, Grace Potter, and Yonder Mountain String Band.
