May 8, 2025 - 8:46 pm

We’re excited to announce that long-time KBCS program, The Caravan, hosted by John Gilbreath, will return to KBCS on Tuesday, May 13th

The Caravan will air Tuesday nights 7-9pm and replace Interlude

Interlude, as the name implies, was always meant to be a short intermission between permanent programs. Years later, on the cusp of the show name becoming ironic, we are delighted to welcome back long-time KBCS host, John GIlbreath for a reinvigorated Caravan.”

– Iaan Hughes, KBCS Music Director

Join host John Gilbreath for a journey through the deep American experience to cultural expressions of the world. The Caravan explores music from the global soul and is an open journey of musical expression.

A staple in the Seattle jazz and music community, John served as Executive Director for Earshot Jazz for over 30 years before announcing his retirement in 2024. Over his career, he has produced thousands of shows including the annual Earshot Jazz Festival which brings some of the nation’s most talented and influential jazz musicians to the Seattle Metro.

Please join us in welcoming The Caravan and John Gilbreath back to KBCS!
