Do you have old devices, broken accessories, and obsolete computers and tablets? These fall in the E-waste category and contain hazardous materials that should not go to a landfill. E-Cycle Washington has locations around the region to recycle worn out electronics for free. Computers, tablets, tvs, laptops, e-readers, and portable dvd players are approved items for the recycling program. Find an E-cycle location near you at ecyclewa.org.

The cost of groceries is soaring around the region. In fact, the cost of food rose 5.2% at the end of last year according to the Consumer Price Index. If you need food assistance, visit the Kent Food Bank that’s open every Wednesday and Friday 10-1 and Thursday 10-11 for seniors.  It’s located at 515 W Harrison St. Suite 107 in Kent. The Auburn Food Bank is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 9-1:15. It’s located at 2804 Auburn Way North.

Would you like to take a look inside Seattle’s historic theatres? Seattle Theatre Group offers free tours to three important venues. You can visit the Paramount on the first Saturday of the month, the Moore theatre on the second Saturday of the month, and the Neptune on the third Saturday of the month. Visitors get to go behind the scenes and see the technical operations that make shows happen. Go to stgpresents.org to make a free reservation.
