Mason Jennings Seattle returns to Tractor Tavern on Sunday, December 13th, with opener Larsen Gardens. Doors open at 7:00 pm and the show starts at 7:30 pm. KBCS 91.3 is proud to present an evening with one of folk music’s most quietly enduring voices.
About the Artists
Mason Jennings
Mason Jennings has spent over two decades honing the craft of song. Born in Honolulu and raised in Pittsburgh, he moved to Minneapolis in the late 1990s and quickly earned a devoted following for his raw, acoustic, introspective folk. His debut album spread through word of mouth — reaching fans like Jack Johnson and Isaac Brock of Modest Mouse.
“A song is like a boat on the water, and you’re trying to make it float with as few pieces as possible. If you do it right, a song can be very healing.” That philosophy has carried Jennings through seventeen albums and counting. His most recent release Magnifier, recorded at his lake house in Minnesota, is his most intimate and bare-bones record yet — piano, acoustic guitar, and voice.
