Spring is here and gardens are brightening up. Seattle Reconomy is hosting its first ever Seedling Festival on Saturday, April 25. Join in by bringing cuttings in water, seedlings, extra seeds, or potted plants to trade or donate. Seattle Reconomy will have herb and edible crop seedlings, recipe books, iced tea and snacks. Gardening tools are available for checkout. The event will be held at the NE Seattle Tool Library located at 10228 Fischer Place NE in Seattle. To find out more go to seattlereconomy.org. In just a couple of weeks, Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center will host its Native Art Market. The exhibit and marketplace feature indigenous art work, crafted apparel, prints, jewelry, drums, traditional woodcraft, and more. The market is open from 10-5 on Saturday May 9 and Sunday May 10 at the Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center in Seattle’s Discovery Park. There’s still a few days left to get free dental, vision and medical care at Seattle Center. The Seattle King County Clinic is open through Sunday, April 26 at no charge. The medical care is for people in need struggling with access to healthcare. No appointment needed – tickets are given out at 5:30am on a first come, first served basis at Fisher Pavilion located at 200 Thomas Street in Seattle.
