Indigenous People’s Festival
Seattle Center will host Indigenous People’s Festival on June 13th. The partnership with Seattle Indian Health Board will feature song, dance, art, food, and the sharing of Indigenous knowledge. The free event will be at the Armory and the Mural Amphitheatre from 10am-7pm.
Renton Farmer’s Market
Get your fresh produce at the Renton Farmers Market every Tuesday from 3-7pm. You’ll also find baked goods, flowers, crafts, and live music. And you can use SNAP and Sun Bucks to purchase items if eligible. When you use benefits, you get a SNAP Market Match to cover additional fruits and vegetables. Stop by the SNAP EBT booth at the market to get started. Thanks for supporting local farmers!
Free Health Screenings
Free health screenings will be offered through Care-a-Van-Mobile Health Services at the High Point branch of the Seattle Public Library on June 9 from 1-4pm. Blood pressure, BMI, and glucose screenings available, as well as Covid and flu test kits. You can also learn about vaccines. The program is part of Creative Chats in Community offered by the library. Washington Department of Health operates the Care-a-Van.
