Funkscribe Fridays is a weekly vinyl-driven radio show celebrating funk, soul, disco, afrobeat, jazz, cumbia, hiphop, new wave, reggae, and international grooves from across the globe. Curated and mixed entirely on wax, the show draws from DJ Funkscribe’s personal record collection—years in the making and shaped by digging trips, crate finds, and dance floors worldwide.
With an ear for rhythm, history, and movement, Funkscribe Fridays connects classic cuts with overlooked gems and global rarities, spotlighting the shared pulse that links scenes across continents. DJ Funkscribe has travelled, DJ’d, & dug for records across India, Cuba, Japan, France, Thailand, Mexico, Peru, Korea, and beyond.
After previously co-hosting a show with DJ Megabhuti on KBCS for over a decade, DJ Funkscribe returns triumphantly to the airwaves—bringing the heat, the stories, the heritage, and the groove back where it belongs.
