Visa Holders Face More Barriers to Employment

For decades, students and professionals have been attracted to the U.S. for its wealth of opportunities. The government started issuing student visas in 1952 as part of the Immigration and Nationality Act. And the H1-B visa launched in 1990 allowing US companies to hire foreign workers with special skills. Now with the current administration’s crackdown on immigration, visa holders are running into more roadblocks. KBCS producer Jennie Cecil Moore spoke with one professional about her experience navigating the system.
