Nubian Jam 2026 returns to Forest Park in Everett on Saturday July 25th from 10am to 7pm. The event is free, all ages, and family friendly.
About Nubian Jam
Nubian Jam is one of the longest running events of its kind in Snohomish County. Each year the annual celebration brings together community members to celebrate and educate attendees about the richness of African and African American culture. Today it has grown into a full day community experience drawing families, artists, musicians, and neighbors together each summer.
This year's Nubian Jam 2026 features live music and entertainment, youth activities, an open mic contest, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament, featured fashions, food, vendors, and artwork. There is something for everyone across all nine hours of programming.
Who Were the Nubians?
The event takes its name from one of the oldest ethnic groups in the world. Nubians trace their roots to Northern Sudan and a vast region spanning the length of the Nile River. Known for their hospitality, rich history, and cultural depth, Nubians are a family branch of an ancient African civilization that once lived and ruled Egypt. Most Nubians today can be found in their ancestral homeland in southern Egypt and northern Sudan. Nubian Jam honors that legacy by bringing it into the heart of Snohomish County every summer.
