Make Your 2020 Tax-Deductible Donation to KBCS Today!

December 6, 2020 - 6:18 pm

2020 is quickly coming to a close. Please consider the hours you’ve spent listening to KBCS over the past year, then make your 2020 tax-deductible donation to KBCS today, in support of your favorite KBCS programs.

When you make your 2020 tax-deductible donation to KBCS before December 31, you’ll give KBCS’s diverse programming a strong start in the new year, help KBCS reach its December fundraising goal of $150,000, and keep KBCS on track to make up for recent cuts to the station’s supplemental funding.

Give through our online donation page (here), or drop a check in the mail to:

Attn: 91.3 KBCS Radio
Bellevue College
3000 Landerholm Cir SE, A101
Bellevue, WA 98007

Over the past year, you’ve found value in what KBCS brings to our community.

Perhaps you tuned-in for KBCS’s progressive news and public affairs programming with trustworthy perspectives on the election and recent movements for racial justice. Or, maybe you tuned-in for your favorite music programs, to recharge your soul and take solace from the difficulties of the day. Chances are, you may have even counted KBCS for both reasons.

No matter what brought you to KBCS this year, we’re honored and humbled that you spent your time with us, and there’s nowhere we’d rather be than here in the Puget sound region, serving you and your community.

While none of us can tell for sure what 2021 will hold, one thing this last year has taught us is that each of us has the ability to affect what happens next through the decisions we make at the individual level.

Similar to deciding to vote or put on your mask when you go out, your decision to support KBCS is an individual action, that when combined with those of other like-minded people, makes a difference for everyone.

No single person makes KBCS possible for all of us. KBCS is evidence of the amazing kinds of services our community can provide when we pool our resources together to improve the quality of life for all of us.

December 31, 2020 marks the half-way point in our year-long campaign for financial sustainability. The campaign began after cuts in supplemental funding to the station were made by Bellevue College in order to minimize the economic impact on the college as a whole.  You can see our 1st quarter update on the KBCS Sustainability Campaign here, and check back in early January of our 2nd quarter update, following our December fundraising campaign.

By reaching our December fundraising goal of $150,000 KBCS will remain on track to end its fiscal year (July 1, 2020 – June 30, 2021) with a balanced budget, and put the station on course for a sustainable future.

Thank you for spending 2020 with KBCS, and again, on behalf of our staff and many talented volunteer DJs, we look forward to being there for you again in 2021, and we’re wishing you and your loved ones all the best in the new year.
