GM Message for December 2024
December 18, 2024 - 8:37 am
Dear KBCS Supporters and Loyal Listeners,
As we approach the end of the year, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude to you, our incredible family of KBCS Radio supporters and listeners. The spirit and the promise of this joyous holiday season and your collective generosity continue to provide KBCS with the critical funding we need to keep this unique and beloved broadcasting tradition on air.
A Year of Impact: Celebrating Your Support
2024 has been another amazing year of growth and transformation for KBCS. Thanks to donors like you, we have expanded our educational and cultural program offerings this year and provided more meaningful student internships and opportunities for our student workers and community volunteers. Your calendar year-end donations can provide you with a nice tax break while making it possible for us to enable new collaborations with other non-profits in our community. These collaborations will help promote more of our talented local and regional musicians and expand our popular social justice and environmental focus through our trusted news and educational outreach programs.
Your fiscal support is the lifeblood of all our initiatives and achievements. Your contributions, whether large or small, are not just financial; they are a testament to the power of the community and the spirit of KBCS. Your support has been instrumental in keeping the community radio dream alive and thriving. We could not be prouder to have you as partners in our journey.
A Time for Giving: Your Year-End Gift
As we reflect on KBCS’s impact over this past year, we turn our attention now to navigating a new and uncertain political landscape for noncommercial educational stations like KBCS. Our focus is to enhance and grow our academic and cultural mission, which includes an opportunity for everyday people in our community from all backgrounds and walks of life, and not just professional broadcasters, to produce and host their music shows and share their passion for music and life here in the Pacific Northwest.
The end of the year is a special time for giving, and your generous year-end gift is appreciated and crucial in helping us build on the momentum we have gained. Every donation, large or small, makes a meaningful difference at KBCS. Your financial support is not just a contribution but a validation of the importance of our work. It will ensure we can continue providing great radio well into 2025 and beyond. As we look toward a more challenging 2025, we are optimistic and excited about all we can achieve together. This holiday season, we are reminded of the power of community and are so grateful to have you as part of ours.
On behalf of our small but mighty KBCS professional staff, our talented and gifted student workers, and volunteer music hosts, we want to express our deepest gratitude for your continued support. We wish you and your loved ones a joyful, peaceful holiday season and New Year. We are excited about the opportunities that the new year will bring and look forward to another year of serving you.
Warmest wishes for a wonderful holiday season of good cheer, peace, and harmony,
