February 14, 2025 - 11:00 pm

John Pai has been one of our fantastic KBCS volunteer DJs for 34 years. He has previously hosted Round Midnight and currently hosts Giant Steps. Join us in thanking John for bringing a unique selection of Jazz to listeners like you around the world and to those listening on the radio in the greater Seattle area.
What song or album do you most identify with, which inspired your energy to be a DJ?
Blues for the Night Owl – Ramsey Lewis, a composition and remembrance from Ramsey Lewis I heard and read when I was in grade school about how Ramsey would go to sleep every night as a kid growing up in the Cabrini Green housing project in Chicago.
