KBCS rounds up King County immigrant resources and community programs this February — from welcoming centers for newcomers to senior programming and Native workforce support.

KCLS Welcoming Center for Immigrants and Refugees

King County Library System hosts a welcoming center for immigrants, refugees, and anyone new to the community. The drop-in service is available in multiple languages and assists people with basic services as well as employment, health, and legal matters. Visit KCLS.org to find locations and hours.

Club Bamboo Senior Center

Asian Counseling and Referral Service runs Club Bamboo Senior Center for Asian and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander adults and others 55 and older. Daily programming includes dance, art, yoga, tai chi, and a nutritious lunch. Learn more at ACRS.org.

ACRS Food Bank

ACRS also runs a food bank stocked for Asian and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander diets. The food bank is open Wednesdays and Fridays from 10am–1pm. Find details at ACRS.org.

Native Workforce Services Program

United Indians of All Tribes Foundation offers employment support through the Native Workforce Services Program. Participants receive job training, referrals, and placement assistance. To learn more and apply, visit unitedindians.org.
