Stroll the public art collection in Renton! The city is home to a variety of work that can be found with a map and descriptions online at rentonwa.gov. Pieces include Waterworks Garden with fountains and a nature walk, Tommy the Turtle who has had numerous homes in Renton since the 1960s. The Turtle currently sits at Kennydale Beach Park. There’s also Erasmus the Dragon, a 710 pound creature that sits on the roof of the Old Western hotel building at the corner of Wells Avenue South and South Third Street downtown. The dragon’s eyes change color and it breathes smoke. Watch out! Go here for info about the art and locations.
