Puget Soundkeeper will host a kayak cleanup on Wednesday, May 8th at Lake Union. At this environmental clean-up event, volunteers will help Puget Soundkeeper staff monitor marine pollution and remove debris from the lake.
QWANQWA, an ensemble hailing from Addis Ababa, uncovers lesser known traditional sounds from East Africa regions of Ethiopia and beyond—a trance-like chant of the Eritrean tribe of Blen, a psychadelic Somalian cover, an extended Amhara wedding medley, a Mahmoud Ahmed sing-a-long.

Humanities Washington will host The Oldest Hatred: Coming to terms with Antisemitism on Saturday, May 11th at Kol Ami Center for Jewish Life in Kirkland. This event will discuss the origins of Jewish stereotypes and will offer attendees strategies to address antisemitism.
The Bushwick Book Club Seattle is a group of musicians dedicated to sharing our combined passion for both music and reading with the Seattle community and beyond. With each performance, a book is chosen which is read by our talented Bushwick artists who then write original music inspired by the book they just read.
