Since the Alaskan Way Viaduct closed, riders on the West Seattle Water Taxi have more than doubled. King County Metro is hoping that some of those new riders will keep using the water taxi even after the tunnel replacing the viaduct opens. 90 years ago Tuesday January 15th 1929 Martin Luther King Jr. was born. At the age of 26 he became a key leader in the modern American Civil Rights Movement. He is well known for promoting non-violence. A way of life that Dr. Bernard LaFayette Jr., who worked with Dr. King, promotes to this day.
