About the Artists
Margo Cilker
Margo Cilker writes country-classic songs that hum with ancestry and expanse, turning grief — both personal and collective — into something restorative. Bandcamp Daily calls her “the future Lucinda Williams of the West.” NPR’s All Things Considered describes her sound as “classic cowboy country, but her sensibility is totally now: destabilized, sometimes mournful, but determined to preserve what’s valuable and grow new gardens on threatened land.”
A fifth-generation Californian now based in the Pacific Northwest, Cilker released her stunning 2021 debut Pohorylle to wide acclaim. Her sophomore record Valley of Heart’s Delight landed on Best Albums of 2023 lists across the US and UK. As she readies her next project, Cilker has traveled to Lockhart, Texas, to record with Bruce Robison — the songwriter and producer behind work by Charley Crockett, Lee Ann Womack, George Strait, and The Chicks.
Kevin Carducci
Kevin Carducci’s story starts with a tornado, a pandemic, a broken-up band, and a job on a farm. For a decade, he led California honky-tonk band The Easy Leaves from behind his upright bass — billed alongside Billy Joe Shaver, Dwight Yoakam, and Willie Nelson — before everything stopped at once.He went back west, rode out the end of the world between rows of vegetables in Northern California, and started writing.
His long-simmering debut solo album Easy Does It came out March 20th 2026, on Fossil Records — the label recently founded by Margo Cilker herself. Drawing on the hard work of those lost years, the record is a quintessential California country album. Americana UK calls his voice “richly sonorous, pure-sounding, classic country."
