Seattle High School Students XL Keystone Pipeline Protest

Pledge of Resistance

May 2, 2014 - 1:44 pm

Garfield High School Senior, Erasmus Baxter says there are about 40 students marching to the federal building in downtown Seattle to protest the Keystone XL Pipeline. The students are from various schools in the Seattle area. Baxter encourages people to sign up online for the “Pledge of Resistance” to carry out acts of civil disobedience against the proposed Keystone XL pipeline, which would carry oil dredged up from Canadian tar sands to refineries in the southern United States. KBCS Music + Ideas host, Sonya Green spoke with Erasmus Baxter on the day of the protest.
