About Resounding Love Choir
Resounding Love was born in early 2020 out of a desire to bring the best aspects of a church-based gospel music experience to a radically welcoming global space. Their roots are in community, social justice, and African American musical traditions — spirituals, gospel, R&B, and civil movement and protest songs.
The choir is multiracial, interfaith, and LGBTQIA-embracing. Their mission is to take uplifting music into the community, including to people who are incarcerated, unhoused, or navigating displacement. Co-founder Cindy Ogasawara puts it simply: 'We want to reach the people music usually passes by. This June 14th concert at Bellevue Youth Theatre brings the Resounding Love choir outdoors and into the open air — inspiring stories and energizing music that will move your body and soul.
