    KBCS Presents: The SteelDrivers

    July 9, 2025

What began as a casual jam session over a decade ago has become one of today’s leaders in the Americana/Bluegrass music world. The venerable Rounder Records immediately signed the band and released their eponymous debut in 2008 that scored their first GRAMMY nomination for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group w/ Vocal for the song Blue Side Of The Mountain. Again in 2010, the group’s sophomore effort “Reckless”, received two more nods for Best Bluegrass Album and Best Country Performance by a Duo of Group with Vocal, courtesy of the universally popular hit Where Rainbows Never Die.

KBCS Presents: Old Coast, Garden Party & Sean Kelly

    July 18, 2025

Old Coast melds a spirited mix of whisky-drinking desert songs

with driving rhythms and blue collar harmonies to create a unique brand of

    Pacific Northwest Americana.

Garden Party is a gritty, synthy, Northwest rock odyssey

Self-taught and Seattle-raised, SeanKelly started street performing at 14 at festivals like Folklife and Bumbershoot. Inspired by Lights and early 2000s acoustic moods, her raw, honest songs feel like pages from a diary- unfiltered, relatable, and made to connect.

KBCS Presents: Adira Sharkey, Zach Bryson & Marina Madden

    July 24, 2025

Adira Sharkey blends percussive acoustic instrumentation with rhythmic vocal arrangements for a unique spin on Americana songwriting. Her unusually low vocal range lends itself perfectly to her raw, unfiltered storytelling, where her lyrics take audiences to the darker side of love and longing. Often joined by an upright bass player, her songwriting style is complemented with traditional roots music accompaniment, delivering a punchy outlaw country sound. She’s been described as "a time traveler from the dust bowl" with a "bluesy folk" feel, having picked up folk melodies and finger-picking tricks from friends across the West. Her forthcoming debut album evokes a genre melting blend of Tom Waits and Patsy Cline, with a pinch of Ani DiFranco.

Zach Bryson writes songs and sings them wherever people will let him and the Greyhound will take him. Currently residing in Nashville, TN he enjoys playing music and writing about himself, in the third person.”

  • KBCS Presents: Town Mountain w/ guests

KBCS Presents: Town Mountain w/ guests

    July 25, 2025

Raw, soulful, and with plenty of swagger, Town Mountain has earned raves for their hard-driving sound, their in-house songwriting and the honky-tonk edge that permeates their exhilarating live performances, whether in a packed club or at a sold-out festival. The hearty base of Town Mountain's music is the first and second generation of bluegrass spiced with country, old school rock ‘n’ roll, and boogie-woogie.
